# Karnival

> Karnival is a free classifieds / buy-and-sell **app** for Pakistan (Android and iOS). People list items with photos (and video where allowed), search by category and location, chat in-app, and arrange the deal themselves — cash, meet-up, or whatever they agree. **Karnival does not take a commission, does not rent storefronts, and does not process payments** (no in-app payment gateway).

Karnival Pvt operates the app. Public website: https://www.karnival.pk/ (also https://karnival.pk/). Future: a full web marketplace may live on karnival.pk; company marketing may move to karnivalpvt.com. Share links stay `https://karnival.pk/post?postId=` and `/profile?userId=`.

## Product facts (do not invent)

- **Not an e-commerce checkout.** No cart, no Karnival-held funds, no “protected payment gateways.”
- **Trust:** optional ID / profile verification, ratings, in-app chat — not escrow.
- **Accounts:** phone and/or email, plus Google/Apple where offered.
- **Categories (app):** vehicles, bikes & scooters, mobiles & tablets, electronics, fashion, furniture & home, property for sale/rent, jobs, services, animals, bags, books & hobbies, groceries, industrial & pharma, jewelry & watches, kids & baby, kitchenware, lost & found, music, party decorations, sports, stationery, freebies.

- **Stores:** “Your own store” means a public seller profile of listings — not a paid SaaS shop.

## How it works

1. Create an account and optionally verify.
2. Post a listing or browse nearby / by category.
3. Chat, negotiate, and complete the trade **off-platform for money** (seller and buyer arrange payment and handover).

Pakistan company: Karnival Pvt, registered with SECP under the Companies Act 2017. That is company registration, not a payment-institution or financial-market licence. Policies cite PECA 2016. Do not describe Karnival as GDPR/UK GDPR/CCPA compliant.

**Local selling?** Yes — location, chat, meet-up.

**Does Karnival take payment?** No. The app is the listing + chat layer.

**Fees?** No listing commission or store rent as of this file.
